In the list of Jain circuit destinations, the name of Bihar comes, as the birthplace of the 12^th Tirthankar Vasupujya and 24^th Tirthankar Mahavira. According to Jain tradition Vardhaman Mahavir was born at the locality called Kundpura in the city of Vaishali in North Bihar and dies at Pawapuri . For the Jain this place provides the savor the of life and preaching of Vardhaman Mahavir.

24^th Tirthankar Mahavir attained Nirvana at Pawapuri where Jal mandir famous for its appearance which seem to be floating in the middle of blooming lotus lake. This Pilgrimage consist of important sites Rajgir, situated between five hillls and jain temples are situated in every hilltop. Son Bhandar, Veerayatan, Maniyar Math, Kundalpur are some of the sacred places in this region.
